The Pegasus Resort comprises 3 main buildings divided into apartments. Accommodation will be mainly shared rooms. The complex has a swimming pool and a small taverna and bar. Local beaches are just a few minutes away by car and are worth a visit as they show the Greek islands at their unspoilt best.
The village of Agia Paraskevi fell into disuse and became deserted a quarter of a century ago but some of the younger generation of the families who lived there have returned and rebuilt many of the houses using traditional materials.
Our host, Kiriakos, is one of these returning sons and has provided us with a perfect, tranquil setting for a Guitar workshop. The local area is mountainous and unspoilt with great opportunities for exploring. The accommodation is ideal for students wanting to bring their partner along for a relaxing break or sight-seeing holiday. Car hire is reasonable and Southern Crete offers a wealth of places of natural, cultural and historic interest as well as great scenery and beautiful beaches.
Students can make their own way to Agia Paraskevi if they choose but we'd recommend using Heraklion Airport as your destination. Students can opt to have a low cost transfer between the airport and the resort - more details on the "Getting to the Workshop" page.
There are also a number of local activities for players and non-players alike which can be organised for a small extra cost - transport to local beaches, massage therapy, yoga classes and more.
See the prices & booking page for more info on prices and accommodation types and check out the Previous Workshops page to get a flavour of these events.
